Where does the name “SerraGlia” come from?
“Serra” is the invented name used in the photo-lab in order to protect my anonymity when I was developing photos of my graffiti (1993-2000).
"Glia" (pronounced like 'Ya') is a memory of my tag used in that period.
You have a graffiti background, why are you turning into art galleries?
Art galleries are good places to document my projects but I am also motivated to choose unconventional sites.
Is your art is for sale?
“When a finger points to the moon,
the imbecile looks at the finger”
Chinese Proverbs
I am sorry, but my art is not for sale.
Using art as medium, one piece of the project by itself doesn't have a real value. It would be the same as buying a writer´s pen rather than reading his book. That is why you can only get a publication about the entire project (when it is available) that allows you to have a deeper and more complete experience.
If your art is not for sale, how do you get money for living?
I am working as an illustrator mainly for architecture studios (www.studiolumart.com), and basically I don´t have an expensive life...
